Commemorative medal for the 50th anniversary of the O Alentejo Insurance Company

Medal, circular in shape with relief decoration, commemorating the 50th Anniversary of O Alentejo Insurance Company. OBVERSE: In the countryside, an allegory composed of three human figures, each of them holding an object: a shield, an esculapius staff (a serpent taking two and a half turns around the wooden staff – symbol of medicine) and a cornfield. Under the figures the legend: “PROTECÇÃO E SEGURANÇA”. Surrounding the edge, on the right side, the legend “COMPANHIA DE SEGUROS – O ALENTEJO”. REVERSE: In the centre, inside a circle, the face of a warrior in profile, facing to the left, holding a sword and a shield (symbol of the company). Around the central composition, the legend “COMPANHIA DE SEGUROS – O ALENTEJO”, on the left and “50 ANOS – MCMXVIII ∙ MCMLXVIII”, on the right. Edge decorated with floral motifs.
