Nova Douro Insurance Company. Maritime Insurance draft with the number 8150 referring to policy 34876. Printed on the document, the image of the insurer’s symbol stands out at the top. In an oval shape, lying in the center, the mythological figure that fills the sea with water, but with an oar in hand and a protective look towards the boats that sail in it’s waters. The inscription Nova Companhia de Seguros Douro / Porto 1875 appears all around this image. The draft presents reinsurance carried out at its branch in Lisbon, Rua do Arsenal, number 124, first floor. Reinsurance is carried out with Fidelidade, Insurance Company, and based on the conditions of policy 85586. The annual premium fixed for the first year is 11$760 réis. Its directors João Theotónio Pereira Junior and Tarujo Formigal signed on 15th January 1907 through Fidelidade. The signatures of the directors of Douro, New Insurance Company, are also included.
